Burlington's waterfront is about to come alive. The first-ever Burlington Waterfront Festival takes over Spencer Smith Park this weekend — July 17 to 19, 2026 — with three days of live music, local vendors, food, and family-friendly fun along Lake Ontario. Admission is completely free.

What Is the Burlington Waterfront Festival?
The Burlington Waterfront Festival is a free, three-day community festival presented by Roadshow Events — and it's a big deal for the city. After the Sound of Music Festival ended its 45-year run at Spencer Smith Park, this new event steps in to keep Burlington's free summer music tradition alive on the waterfront.
The year-one lineup includes:
• Live music all weekend — the main stage takes on a different theme each day, spotlighting local musical artists and performances
• Local artisan vendors — handmade goods, crafts, art, and specialty items from Burlington-area businesses
• Food vendors — a rotating spread of local eats
• A midway and kids activities — games and family programming across the grounds
• A licensed, gated site — with shaded seating for taking in the music
• A charitable cause — volunteers at the entrances are collecting donations for the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, with 100% of funds going directly to the hospital

A Quick Reminder on Consumption
Spencer Smith Park is a public park, and the festival site is licensed for alcohol only — which means cannabis consumption is not permitted at the festival or anywhere in the park, the same as any public space in Ontario where smoking is prohibited.
To enjoy the weekend responsibly: consume at a private residence before or after your visit, never drive impaired, and always carry valid ID. Our budtenders are happy to point you toward smoke-free formats if you want something low-key for the weekend.
